Week 32

Welcome to Mt. Vernon Intermediate

Dear Students and Families,

As we begin to enjoy the warmer weather and signs of spring, we want to take a moment to recognize the hard work and effort our students have been putting in during testing. We are proud of their focus, perseverance, and commitment to doing their best.

This time of year can bring extra energy and excitement, and we encourage students to continue channeling that in positive ways—staying focused, supporting one another, and taking pride in their learning each day. Thank you for your continued support in helping our students stay motivated and engaged!

Sincerely,
Ms. Ashley Gustin
Principal

MVIS Updates & Information

NO Nee-Dohs at School

The picture below helps illustrate why Nee-Dohs are NOT allowed at school. The device shown is a Chromebook from our school that was recently turned in to our tech department. In this example, the material from a Nee-Doh was pressed into the screen and keyboard, leaving behind a sticky residue. Substances like this can be very difficult to remove and may affect how the device works.

Situations like this can lead to damage that requires repair or replacement, and can also limit a student’s ability to use their Chromebook for learning. Similar issues have occurred in classrooms, where the material has been difficult to clean from carpets and other surfaces.

To help keep our devices and learning spaces in good condition, we ask that Nee-Dohs and similar items stay at home.
