April 6 - 10

Week 30

Welcome to Mt. Vernon Intermediate

Dear Students and Families,

As we continue through the spring months, we are excited to see all the growth our students have made this year. This is an important time to stay focused and continue putting forth strong effort each day.

Next week, students will participate in ILEARN testing on Tuesday and Thursday. We ask for your support in helping students do their very best by ensuring they get a good night’s rest and eat a healthy breakfast before coming to school. Being well-rested and prepared will help students stay focused and confident during testing.

Thank you for partnering with us to support student success. We look forward to a strong week ahead!

Sincerely,
Ms. Ashley Gustin
Principal

MVIS Updates & Information

From the Nurse:

This is a friendly reminder that students are not allowed to carry medication on them at school, including over-the-counter medications such as ibuprofen, Tylenol, etc. According to school policy, all medications must be kept in the health office and administered appropriately.

Recently, several ibuprofen tablets were found on the floor in the gym. While we do not know how they got there, this serves as an important reminder of why this policy is in place—to help ensure the safety of all students.

If your child needs medication during the school day, please send it to the health office with the proper forms so it can be stored and given safely. The forms can be found here.

Thank you for your help in keeping our school community safe. Please reach out if you have any questions.
