Week 29

Welcome to Mt. Vernon Intermediate

Dear Students and Families,

We’ve had a great first week back from Spring Break! Our students have returned energized and ready to finish the school year strong.

As we head into the final quarter, it’s important that we stay focused on learning and continue building on the progress made so far. With ILEARN testing ahead, we appreciate your support in helping students stay motivated and prepared to do their best.

Sincerely,
Ms. Ashley Gustin
Principal

Future MVMS Students: Gear Up for Next Year!

We’re excited to share a special spirit wear sale just for middle school students! This is a great opportunity for current 6th graders to start showing their school spirit and get excited for next year.

In addition to showing school pride, many of the items—such as shirts and shorts—are perfect for meeting Wellness Class dress requirements at the Middle School. This makes it an easy and convenient option for families.

The sale runs through April 10. Be sure to check it out here:

Support Our School Libraries with the Psi Iota Xi Spring Flower Sale

Did you know that our local Psi Iota Xi sorority is donating the profits from their spring flower sale to the MV school libraries? See the note from Psi Iota Xi below

“With all schools budgets being tightened, the funding for the school libraries is being reduced. One of the three main goals for the Psi Iota Xi sorority is to support literature. This year, Psi Iota Xi has a goal to donate $6,000.00 from the profits of the flower sale to Mt. Vernon school libraries. Your flower purchase will help us reach this goal! Your flower purchase has the potential to touch each MV student! Thank you for your support!”

Email your order to tkirby@myninestar.net or call one of the committee members listed on the flyer. Payment on pick up, cash or check.
